Dearest Sonny,

We can't wait to see you perform at Carnegie Hall on September 18th. My sister Briana and I also hope you have time to stop by our reception. We know it will be a busy night, recording the concert and everything, but maybe you can find a moment to stop by and say "Hi" to us and to all of our guests (most of whom you know well).

Benny Golson has provided us with an eloquent, sincere, and touching tribute to you, which he wrote just for this occasion. We would like to present it to you. We have emailed Peter Downey about it and we'll get it to you either in person, or through Peter, or by mail later. Whatever works for you.
