I couldn't let the opportunity miss: your awesome, beautiful tenor work in Everything Happens To Me, On Green Dolphin Street, Three Little Words (On Impulse!); your performance in Rio, 1985, outdoors, in the Parque da Catacumba (I was there); your Village Vanguard, early and late performances; influenced my music in a way. I play the rock/r&b electric 4 string bass, but feel comfortable in some tunes of yours. Walter Booker's solo in Everything...is sensational, bluesy. The dissonance in your playing is fantastic. Coleman Hawkins may be the reference, but your own playing is the essence. The Originator!
