Dear Sonny,

I'd have sent this birthday greeting to you yesterday, but it took a day for my account to be activated. I hope you had a very happy birthday. You are one of musical heroes. I am really looking forward to hearing you at Carnegie on the 18th. I was at the box office on the first day they were on sale - met 2 other Rollins fans there on line.

The unreleased recordings with and Clifford Brown are just unbelievable to hear. A few years back, I had sent you a cdr copy of a tape I had of you with Clifford and Max from the Contnental Club. I have heard you live many times since 1975, and listened to your recordings way before that. You have always been one of my favorite artists.

Wishing you the best of health always. The 50th Anniversary Carnegie concert will be a great celebration.
